Swelling is common and may remain after surgery too for upto 6 months. If there is redness and pain, fever along with this then quickly consult a doctor because it could be infection which will need urgent treatment

Hello Can you please provide the details of what surgery was done and where was the fracture? If you have an x-ray after the surgery that would be helpful to get more insight about your condition. It would be nice to know if you had knee pain prior to the surgeryAnd if you had any difficulty in squatting or walking?Presently is it only swelling or do you also have pain fever kindly elaborate?
Next Steps
Please provide the details for an appropriate advice.
