Swelled knee
Had a hard knock on the knee and it has swelled up -not really sore-. It feels as if there is a fluid in there when I poke it . Is it that some synovial fluid leaked? Will it go away by it self?

It’s probably a soft tissue injury to the prepatellar bursa and has lead to effusion/ swelling. Please visit your orthopaedic doctor for diagnosis and do ice packs take anti inflammatory and analgesic medications for the time being. Conservative therapy is gonna help big time. Some times the fluid collection may warrant aspiration under sterile conditions. All the best
