Sweat gland infection in groin

I have had a fungus infection in my groin area since I have been living in SE Asia a warmer climate than the UK where I am from. I have treated it with cream in the past but recently it has flared up again and I have not treated it. Last night my gland in my neck swelled up and it hurts. Could this be linked?
