Suspected Sciatica
I think I have sciatica. I've been having radiating back pain for a long time now. If I sit for too long, my lower back hurts. The pain is also along the back of both legs. I know for sure that it is not a muscle or bone problem. I've had this on and off since I  was 13. Three years ago, I got an XRay  done and an orthopedic doctor said there was nothing wrong. He asked me to do physiotherapy for a while. It gave temporary relief but didn't  address the problem. I read about sciatica and the symptoms seem to match.  Should I visit a neurosurgeon or a neurologist?

It is better to get a detailed neurological evaluation to confirm sciatica secondary to a radiculopathy. Excellent treatment options are available if confirmed. Best regards.
