Hello Doctor,
I noticed a small single red dot/spot on my leg about 18 hours ago. It looks like a round red mark, not a line or cut, and I did not feel any pain or scratch when it appeared. I was in a crowd, and I am not sure if it could be from a dog or cat, but I don’t recall any scratch or bite.
My questions are:
Does this look like a dog/cat bite or scratch, or more like an insect bite/skin irritation?
If there is no visible skin break or bleeding, is there any risk of rabies?
In such cases, is rabies vaccination required, or can I just observe the spot?
Should I take any further precautions like tetanus vaccine or antiseptic care?

I understand your concern. A small red dot or spot on the skin that appears suddenly, is round, painless, and without a break in the skin is most commonly an insect bite, minor skin irritation, or allergic reaction.
General Advice:
Clean the area gently with mild soap and water.
Apply a soothing antiseptic or mild topical cream if there is itching or irritation.
Monitor for any increase in size, redness, swelling, or pain.
Risk of rabies:
Rabies is transmitted only through bites or scratches that break the skin. Since there is no visible skin break, the risk of rabies is extremely low, and vaccination is not required in this case.
Tetanus / Other Precautions:
Tetanus vaccination is needed only if there is a puncture or deep wound.
No further precautions are necessary if the skin remains intact.
When to consult a doctor immediately:
Redness, swelling, pus, or pain develops at the spot
Fever, malaise, or spreading rash
Any history of an unnoticed bite or scratch from an animal

Rinse and wash the site with soap and running water. From the picture alone it doesn't look like an animal bite but still visiting a clinic or hospital is essential to look for the necessity of vaccine.

Thrombophob gel two times after cleaning Locally apply.
Montek lc one at night for 3to5 days.

It might be a scratch from an animal. However in case of rabies it is better to be safe than sorry. Anyway you can have rabies even if there is no visible breakage of barrier. Ideally anti rabies vaccination should be taken. For further query consult me on practo

From the picture and your description this looks more like an insect bite or minor skin irritation than a dog or cat scratch. Since there’s no visible cut or bleeding the chance of rabies is practically nil, and rabies vaccination is not required here.
Please let me know when you last received a tetanus shot. If it has been more than 6 months it is advisable to take a booster for safety.
For now keep the area clean, you may wash it with plenty of soap and water. No further treatment is necessary. Just observe the spot if redness, swelling, or pain increases, or if you later recall definite animal contact, consult a doctor promptly.
