Sugar level was 350..400
My nephew 5years was seriously ill.. doctor could not able to identify this is problem with his sugar level was high about 350 to 400
Now under insulin therapy
Is it possible to cure this as he is of small age.
How he should be handled.. please advise..

He is most likely suffering from type 1 diabetes mellitus which is a less common form of diabetes and is detected in childhood. In this condition, the body cannot produce a hormone called insulin which is required to keep blood sugar levels within normal. Because of the deficiency, he needs to be given insulin externally in the form of injections. This treatment is lifelong and an attempt to stop the injections can be dangerous.
A visit to a diabetologist will help to know more about this condition and the precautions to be followed for a healthy life. With proper precautions and doses, he will be able to live a life like any other child.
