Suffering from Typhoid
My daughter is having fever since last 12 days. 5th day & 10th day blood samples shows that salmonella typhi - O shows "upto 1:80" dilution. Otherwise are less than 1:20. Does it mean that antibiotics given has not acted on the body?

1:80 on both occasions indicates that Antibiotics are working. If otherwise, rising of titre would have been noted (1:320 or 1:160).
Clinical correlation .... No fever for last 24 hrs without Paracetamol , resuming appetite, decreasing of other associated symptoms will give more weightage in Prognosis (weather a person improving or not)
