Tonsillitis can be both bacterial or viral..bacterial being more common. Upper respiratory tract infection has more viral predominance. Associated symptoms need to be assessed. Kindly consult with proper history.

Seems like Viral fever . Would like to know a few more details in history for proper assessment , before providing an appropriate opinion . Meanwhile stay hydrated , get plenty of rest , have Dolo 650 mg (SOS) (Not more than 3 tablets per day) . Please consult on Practo for further course of action as per your convenience.
