Sudden cough today during drinking water I think water go into wrong path like in lungs What is complication if water go into lung and what to do nxt step No h/o of other illness

If water and food goes in to lungs,we may get Apuration pnuemonia. Then we have to do bronchoscope,and aspirate the material and treat pnuemonia. Pl consult Pulmonologist online with all the reports and treatment taken.

Sudden liquids in bronchial trees causes spasm and heavy coughing.. mechanism of lungs to expell ot out.. but if liquids are more in amount it may block particular Airways and Aspiration Pneumonia develops.
