Sub Clinical Hypothyroidism
Hell sir/madam, On Feb/2020, my TSH was 5.67 and Triglycerides was 153. Now on Oct/2022, my TSH elevated to 7.8 and Triglycerides at 248 , LDL-105 and HDL - 35. Since last 2 and half years my hypothyroidism wasn't treated even though I had symptoms but now I met a different doctor and he asked me to take 25mcg thyronorm because I have most of the symptoms. My HBA1C is 5.4, PP- 105 and FBS-99. Is triglycerides elevation is because of untreated thyroid for last 2 years.? Please advise further steps.?

In Subclinical hypothyroidism treatment is indicated when the TSH level is 10 and above And if there are symptoms even when it's below 10. Since you are symptomatic your doctor has started with lower dose of thyroxin which should be adjusted in 2-3 months according to the hormone levels. Hypothyroidism is generally associated with dislipidemia ie cholesterol and triglycerides
Next Steps
mostly your triglycerides level is likely to decrease once your TSH level reach normal with thyroxin However it's your life style modification and diet modifications plus exercise regularly is important for lowering the triglycerides. At this stage you don't need any specific medicine for triglycerides you can use omega 3 tablet 1000 mg once daily
