A red, painful swelling near the edge of the eyelid that may look like a boil or pimple is a characteristic feature of stye. It develops from small glands of eyelid. It is self resolving within few days. The most effective treatment is dry hot fomentation. Warm comress or  warm washcloth applied to the eyelid may relieve pain and discomfort. You can take any anti-inflammatory tablet after meals. Avoid rubbing maintain hygeine.

If it is inside the lid, it can't be stye. It may be internal hordeolum. Please consult an ophthalmologist online or in clinic for proper diagnosis and management. Till then you can do hot fomentation two to three times
