Street dog accidentally pressed my feet
10 months ago a street dog accidentally pressed my feet by its feet while moving. I got an impact but there was no dog bite or visible scratch. Not sure wheather the nail just touch or not. Last few days I am constantly thinking about this matter. I am very much worried and stressed out.  Is it any mental problem going on? Or I need any vaccine?

Hello I think u r just over worried and stressed...and the incident took place 10 months ago so there's definitely no need of any vaccine etc..whteva harm u were expecting is already been done n dusted. So there's absolutely nothing to worry about the dog bite incident. However u seem to be stressed out with some other ongoing conditions in your life and cumulative anxiety is being displayed in your behaviour..there has to be something in your mind keeping you worried and anxious since last few days..apart from this dog incident.
Next Steps
u need to consult a psychiatrist for further evaluation and treatment for therapy or counseling if any

Hello Mr. I read your worries and doubts. Few things I wud like to clear : 1. Rabies virus is present in saliva of rabies     infected animal ,means the dog must also     have rabies & that you don't know so ur first     chance of getting rabies is not certain     ( 50-50). 2. The incubation period for rabies infection is     most commonly is 2 to 3 months, and     maximum but  very rare is 1 year but such     long period of incubation depend upon the     site of dog bite and load of virus . So most     commonly you have already passed the     incubation period of 2 to 3 months. By now     you would have got symptoms like     hydrophobia, excitement ,hyperactivity &     paralysis and I believe none of these     symptoms are present, so your second chance     of infection is again zero percent. 3. Saliva contact over your skin is must for      infection to enter your body and that is not     present in ur case, it's just a touch/press  by a     dog so again the chance of infection is null &     void. 4. Most importantly now ,your thought process      and content regarding infection is      inappropriate and out of proportion. If still      excessive thought of getting infection is      present in you and this is causing impairment      in ur personal, social & occupational area.       Then it is not good at all & it will considered       as Anxiety spectrum disorder.
Next Steps
-- If your doubts are clear ,its very good. if you    feel same and tense ,visit a Psychiatrist/    Neuropsychiatrist and let him evaluate your    condition.

What are you worried about? Are you having any symptoms? This happened 10 months ago. There is no way you can be infected by rabies if that’s your fear. Besides even if it was a visible scratch or a wound symptoms would have shown up that time only and not so late. The chance of being infected from a lag wound is extremely low. So be assured you don’t have it. There’s no need to overthink. You don’t need any vaccine as of now.

You said it right , you are focussing excessively on the same and thus the problems magnifies in the mind, there is no logical reasoning to suggest that you need a vaccine as there is no deep bite or wound or scratches. And the incident doesn’t seem to be significant except in the way you are processing it
Next Steps
Learn to convince yourself that this is insignificant by thinking of it logically rather than feeding the fear as it is a cycle and it continues - the more you feed and focus on the thoughts and fear it increases
Health Tips
Relaxation breathing and calm approach to things will help , keeping yourself occupied and following a routine will help and learn to neglect the thoughts by logical reasoning All the best Dr Shivadev M Co-founder & Consultant Passion Fruit - Sexual Wellness Centre
