I am around 49 years old and currently not getting my periods. I am also experiencing stomach/abdominal pain. I had a Copper-T inserted many years ago. Please advise whether this could be related to menopause or any other condition, and whether I need an ultrasound or other tests.

Absent periods at 49 can be perimenopause, but a long-standing Copper-T combined with abdominal pain needs an in-person check to rule out IUD malposition or an endometrial issue.
Next Steps
Please book a gynaecologist consultation and ask for a pelvic ultrasound to confirm IUD position, plus routine tests. If pain is severe or with fever, treat as urgent.
Health Tips
Please do not attempt to remove the Copper-T yourself. It can still be safely removed by a doctor even if it has been in beyond its recommended duration.
