Dr, is squint surgery is a complicated surgery? My squint surgery is on 19th September.. How long should i take rest after the surgery? I have an exam on 23rd September...will this surgery effect me for the preperation? How many days should i take rest after the surgery? What is amount for the surgery??

It's an extraocular surgery, so usually not very complicated. You will be able to resume most of your routine activities within 2-3 days.

Squint surgery is surgery of your extraocular muscles done through conjunctiva with local anaesthesia.
This surgery is never an emergency surgery at this age unless you have double vision.
Surgery is not complicated but sometimes after surgery you may develop DOUBLE VISION due to binocular vision means after surgery your both eyes can work simultaneously.
So as a squint specialist and pediatrics ophthalmologist, my opinion to POSTPONE YOUR SURGERY after your examinations are over.
Cost of the surgery depends upon the number of muscle to be operated.

I would suggest you to go for surgery after your exams. You will not be able to concentrate on your studies.
Surgery cost depends on number of muscles to be corrected.
A week's time rest at home would be desirable after the surgery.

Squint is not complicated Surgery.
4-5 days normal recovery time.
Redness discomfort would be there for few days

Is not a complicated surgery . You can resume you routine activities in 3-4 days time. Though you will have to keep using post operative drops for longer.

It is not complicated surgery.you will recover with in 5 days.it is better to undergo surgery after exam.pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.
