Squint correction. This query is not!

Hi doctor. This query is not regarding me but it is for someone else. The query is as follows: I am at a marriageable age and I have met a girl. The girl has a squint in her eye. As much as I know, the girl use to wear glasses since very early age and few years back she underwent a surgery for removal of glasses. After that surgery, she has developed a squint. When she looks straight, her squint is not visible but when she looks at someone who is sitting sideways or diagnolly, her squint is visible. My concern is, is there any possibility to correct the squint? If yes, how and what are the risk involved in it? If no, what are short term and long term impact of that squint on her health? Is there also a possibility that the squint can be transferred to her baby? I don't have much details about her as we have only met once. All the personal details of her shared by me are mere assumptions.
