I've had a spermatocele cyst on my left testicle for 5 years now. (size of a marble) Got it checked out inititally 5 years ago, ultrasounded, it was fine.
Now, 5 years later, it is getting more and more sensitive has gotten bigger, and is starting to interfere with my life (exercising, and sexual intercourse is difficult due to it getting bumped or agitated, it hurts).
Went to a urologist today who told me the only options are doing essentially nothing (taking ibuprofen, supporting the genitals to avoid pain), or surgery, which they would not consider for a young man in his 20's like me. He said surgery would most likely render my left testicle useless, it would be "like a vasectomy on that testicle".
I'm pretty sure I don't want to have kids, but not entirely.
Is there any way to get rid of this thing without destroying my left testicle? Is that true that it will likely destroy the function of that testicle?
It really makes sex, and exercise painful sometimes.
