I have had a bad cold for a few days now and two days ago the cold got better but I got a very disruptive sore throat. Three days ago it was no different than a normal sore throat but two days ago when I woke up I spat mucus into the sink. The mucus contained half blood and half mucus. (I did eat a hard crusted pizza before this happened). Today I have spat up large amounts of mucus sometimes containing very small amounts of blood. Should I be worried?

You seem to be suffering from viral upper respiratory tract infection which is a common type of throat infection in this season. Sometimes forceful coughing causes rupture of small blood vessels which in turn shows up as blood in sputum. You may need to take antibiotics and cough syrups along with steam inhalation for faster recovery
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
