I had a cold around the 8th which went away but the cough remained. it had come down but I have a very hectic schedule so I had weakness at times and regular coughing. My head and back have been aching due to the feverish symptoms. I'm a smoker so I think it caused swelling and today the cough I spit out was the consistency of phlegm ut red

It might be due to sinus infection..but need to rule out pulmonary causes also.take steam inhalation.visit an ENT specialist for proper assessment and treatment.
