SMILE eye correction
My Daughter aged 24,is having a myopic eyes with -8.5 power on both eyes. When we wanted to do a LASIK eye correction ,Nov-2014 -approached cornea specialist of Sankara Nethralaya at chennai by . They have declared she can't undergo lasik correction after per the scan results. Knowledgeable people shared about SMILE than Lasik. We found ophthalmic clinic at chennai and they scanned again to see if it can be taken for SMILE. Need a second opinion. Can you help me ?

Hello Smile is similar to Lasik in the sense that we need to have a certain amount of corneal thickness...If cornea is thin then smile or laser is not performed You have not shared her medical records... Kindly share her test reports so that I may guide you better Having said that,In her case,ICL would be best option if all parameters are okay
