This is called Photodermatitis, it is a form of allergic contact dermatitis in which the allergen must be activated by light to sensitize the allergic response, and to cause a rash or other systemic effects on subsequent exposure. Symptomatic relief can be obtained with emollients, topical steroids, and anti-histamines. Systemic steroids may be necessary for severe cases. Sensitivity to the sun may take several weeks to abate, especially with photoallergens from sunscreens. Consult with a Dermatologist for the same to prevent further progression of the lesions.
