Unless there are any specific symptoms we will assume that those bumps are normal taste buds present on the tongue in every person. But if you have any symptoms then you should visit a dentist for a proper clinical evaluation to rule out any secondary causes which can be appropriately treated only after the right diagnosis. Brushing your tongue with your toothbrush after every time you brush your teeth will also help in maintaining the health of the tongue. Use of tongue cleaners whether plastic or metallic or wooden should be avoided because they do have the potential  of causing more harm than good. Regards.

Hello, the tongue is naturally covered with small bumps. Fungiform papillae are the small bumps containing taste buds and temperature sensors. They are located on the back of tongue. They're the same color as the rest of your tongue. Other than this, if you suspect any change in color of tongue, change in taste perception, pain in tongue, difficulty in eating and/or swallowing, ulceration on tongue, or otherwise also if you have any doubts then its better to consult your dentist and get examined so that it clears your doubts and worries regarding the same. Its advised to get a dental check up too along with a complete health check up to keep your worries away. T.C
