Small lump baby back of the head

Asked for Male, 32 Years

My baby is 6 months old. I have noticed a small lump at the back of the head( left lower side), like the size of a pea seed. It's been there for quite a long time and hasn't changed in size. It's not painful, and my baby seems to be eating, sleeping, and behaving normally. The lump feels like it's just under the skin and can be moved slightly when touched. What should be done?

Hello parent! Small lumps size of a pea, with the kind of mobility you describe, are common - usually a small lipoma or a neurofibroma. These are incidental findings in most cases, do not grow, are not associated with pain or complications

Don’t manipulate it in any form. But keep a check if it starts to grow in size or becomes red and painful - If so consult immediately. Otherwise, can show to the paediatrician at the next visit
