Slow healing socket
Hi I had my molar tooth extracted three weeks ago, but my socket is not closed yet and I feel pain whenever I chew my food. What is the reason for the delayed socket healing.

Hi There are several reasons for delayed healing and pain. One of them are if post operative instructions like not spiting immediately , etc is not followed resulting in improper clot formation. Results in delayed healing and pain , referred as dry socket . It’s best to get an evaluation done from your dentist so that it can be treated and you feel better.
