Skin tear below penis head
I scratched my penis head cause it was itching while it was dry, and then next day I applied olive oil so that I get some relief. But it made the tip more dry. I masturbated at night before shower and saw some skin tear around the skin connecting to the head. Some healed after taking good hygiene, but tonight I saw a light tear still there. Although I can retract, my foreskin is tight. While searching for the skin tear, I had to retract more of it so that I can see it, and doing that very little blood came out. What can I do? This started since Sunday night. Today is Wednesday. When to see a doctor in person?

most likely represents a small superficial skin tear (fissure) caused by scratching, dry skin, friction during masturbation, and a tight foreskin (possible mild phimosis). A tiny amount of bleeding after retracting the foreskin is common if the healing skin is stretched again.

Based on your description, this most likely represents a small foreskin (preputial) skin tear or fissure, probably caused by scratching, dryness, and friction during masturbation. The slight bleeding that occurred when you retracted the foreskin further is consistent with a healing skin tear being stretched again. The fact that you are able to retract the foreskin, although it feels tight, is reassuring. However, recurrent tightness, itching, and skin tears can occur due to: Dry or irritated skin. A fungal infection (especially if itching was the initial symptom). Mild inflammation (balanitis). Early phimosis or a tight foreskin causing repeated trauma. Olive oil is not recommended for treating these tears, as it may irritate the skin in some people and does not promote healing.
Next Steps
For the next few days: Avoid masturbation and sexual activity until the tear has completely healed. Wash the area gently once daily with plain water and dry it carefully. Do not force the foreskin back to inspect the tear repeatedly, as this can reopen the wound. Wear loose, breathable cotton underwear to reduce friction. Health Tips
Avoid harsh soaps, antiseptics, or home remedies on the penis. If the skin feels dry after healing, use only products recommended by your doctor. Maintain good genital hygiene, keep the area dry, and avoid scratching even if it itches. Most small superficial foreskin tears heal within 1–2 weeks if they are not repeatedly stretched or traumatized. If your foreskin remains consistently tight or you continue to experience recurrent tears, it is important to have it evaluated, as treatment of the underlying tightness can prevent future episodes. Thank you
