Skin rash and itching
My 2 yr old son has skin rashes and after itching it becomes like it. Is it a skin infection? Please see the images.

Hello,
This appears more like a mosquito/insect bite rash. Due to scratching, it has become crusted and may also be oozing.
Is there any fever or are there similar rashes on any other part of the body?
You can apply calamine lotion or an anti-itch lotion/cream such as Atarax to help relieve the itching.
You may also give an oral antihistamine such as syrup Allegra (5ml/30mg) 2.5 ml at night if required..
If the lesion is crusted or oozing, apply T-Bact (mupirocin) ointment 2–3 times a day for 3–5 days.
If the child develops fever, the rash increases in size, there is extensive redness, swelling, pus, or the child appears unwell, kindly consult your paediatrician for a physical examination.

Looking like some insect bite .can be due to itching after mosquito bite also .prevent mosquito bite .use mosquito net and repellent .look for other insects also in the bedding and surrounding.apply CALAMINE lotion over area 3to4times /day

Syp Atarax 10 mg - 1.5 ml twice daily for 2 days .
Apply calora lotion twice daily for 3 -5 days

The rash appears more like an insect bite hypersensitivity with secondary excoriation from scratching rather than a primary skin infection. Keep the area clean, use a moisturizer/calamine for itch, and consider an oral antihistamine if itching is very significant.
Watch for increasing redness, warmth, discharge, fever, or spreading of the rash, which would warrant evaluation for secondary bacterial infection. Also check the home environment for mosquitoes or other insects.
