My wife is 29 weeks pregnant, took the obstetric ultrasound scan . There it is mentioned as "single loop of cord around neck"
What it is? Is it dangerous? Do we need to consult doctor on this?

A loose loop of cord lying across the neck is very common and not at all dangerous

Daily fetal movement count is more important for you
In case of reduced fetal movement please get admitted to hospital for non stress test and fetal Doppler

Continue iron and calcium supplements
Mothers Horlicks two spoons with milk two times a day
Avoid papaya and pineapple
Avoid lifting weights and stress and intercourses
Listen devotional music and wear bangles to promote hearing in your baby
Drink plenty of water and fruits juice
Sleep for two hours in afternoon and 8 hours at bedtime in left lateral position for increased blood flow to baby
