Dryness irritant dermatitis etc. Development of resistance of various antifungal in community as these are washed in water in low concentrations and fungal spores can develop tolerance to these

Most Anti-fungal soaps contain Ketoconazole, salicylic acid and such contents. They can cause excessive dryness & irritation and dermatitis. The use of anti-fungal soaps for treatment does not show any additional benefit to the patient compared to only medications. Also the use of these soaps may promote Fungal resistance to anti-fungal medications. Please use antifungal soaps only if recommended by your dermatologist and only for the specific period advised.
