Shortness of breath during pregnancy is not to be taken causally. During pregnancy the pressure in the abdomen rises, it makes movements of the diaphragm more difficult, so respiratory movements are hampered. You should not lie down immediately after having your meals. You should be upright for at least half hour to one hour. Don't take heavy dinner. While sleeping you should have a good pillow so that your head is at a higher level than the abdomen. Sleep on one side. You should have regular check up by Gynaecologist. He may recommend consultation with Cardiologist in few cases. No self medications.
