Shooting back pain
My daughter from past two days is having shooting back pain at upper right side just after the middle rib.Yesterday her full upper right side was paining including the ball nd socket joint, shoulder.Can you suggest what this problem is

Hello dear You have not mentioned the most important parameter- your daughter's age, height and weight. Considering the fact you are 39, your daughter should be under 20 years. That being the case it is most probably due to a trapezius and deltoid strain in view of scapular dyskinesia and rotator cuff weakness. A few more answers would prove helpful in my evaluation: 1. How did she develop the pain? 2. Has she had neck pains previously? 3. Does she have fatigue, hair fall, acidity, cramps, forgetfulness etc too. 4. Is the pain more severe at night? She might need to be screened for vitamin deficiencies and dedicated exercise programme to resolve the issue Regards Dr Vipin Gupta
