Shingles herpes zoster rashes
I have shingles rashes which is very painful. Its been more than 10 days . I finished my prescribed valcyclovir meds and 3 more days of pending pregabalin. The rashes are turning black but the pain is still the same, infact it's kind of nerve pain. I informed my doctor she asked me to continue with pregabalin if there is nerve pain but dint mention for how many more and days and dint respond later. Can u pls tell me how long will this nerve pain persist.. it's from my right underarm till my upper arm.

Hello ,pain due to herpes zoster is called as postherpetic neuralgia ,pain may persist from days even upto few years also ,so plz continue pregabalin for another 2 weeks ,aftee that consulr dermatologist again to assess the severity of pain
