Shin splints
I am play football and also been a fitness keen person.. I have just shifted to Chennai for my Post Graduation and recently started playing football and started practice on everyday basis.. but since I have started practicing I am having pain in my shin muscle and it's been a month. So what am I supposed to do ?? The pain gets really bad sometimes while in the match or practice that I feel like I can't walk . Please help me out . I really don't want to quit football this early.

See sir there are various region for your shin pain. Reasons could be lack of sufficient strength in your quarriceps muscles, calf , dorsiflexors of foot and evetors of foot. So try strengthening all the muscles mentioned up. Also use cryotherapy after Ur game. Hope for Ur recovery. Thank you.

Proper warm up and good hydration is must before playing football. However, your pain could be because of poor body mechanics, consult a physiotherapist for assessment.
