I have undergone a liver function test recently and my SGPT level came to 81 which is above the normal level.I wish to know is this really a matter of concern for me and do I need to start any medication for the same. Also whether it is due to my obesity or the reason can be something different?

Have you done any ultrasound of abdomen also? Obiesty can be linked with fatty liver also in which SGOT levels can get raised. Raised levels are also seen in acidity of stomach. If only the SGOT level is raised and other liver parameters are normal then it is non-critical and no medications are recommended.
