Ma'am can we take SSRI tablets for depression... I get sexual thoughts about god and I can't control it. And do we need a doctors prescription to show at medical store for purchasing the tablet?

Sexual obsessions with god is seen commonly by psychiatrists. It can be very easily treated. Consult any astute psychiatrist either in person or online and seek remedy. Depression is likely secondary to the OCD.

Sexual thoughts about God, and other repetitive intrusive and distress causing thoughts or actions - points to a diagnosis of OCD - Obsessive Compulsive disorder It is treatable with a combination of counselling- CBT and medications. SSRI can work well with certain patients but the decision to start a certain group of meds should be left to a psychiatrist. Psychiatric medications are NOT provided OTC at any pharmacy, it is strongly advisable that you get in touch with a psychiatrist, who will start treatment after taking an in depth history
Next Steps
Kindly contact a psychiatrist and depending on your history, current severity of depressive, obsessive and anxiety issues will start you on treatment
