Sudden gain in weight might be reason for your pain in knee and foot. Prolonged standing and walking might also be the reason. As you are young there are less changes for arthritis. Reduce weight as much as possible. Do the exercises which are safer for your knee  under proper guidance of therapist. Take an x-ray if there is Inflammation in knee take considerable Physio sessions . Both knee and foot are different condition. They are not linked. Continuous ice packing on painful area for not less than 20 min two times a day may reduce your pain and Swelling.
