Severe pain in hands

Asked for Male, 47 Years

My husband Hirak Bhattacharya is suffering from severe pain in his both hands from shoulder to palm...I am not sure whether this relates to only muscle pain or nerve related pain. He is unable to pick up heavy weight with his hands and if he picks up the same at any point of time, he feels extreme pain in his hands. He is also unable to do free hand exercises as that too increases the pain. If you could please advise regarding this problem and what could be the suggestive remedies, it would be of great help.
