There r some exercises to provide strength to muscles around knee. If u could visit any physio centre or consulted online, physio will prescribe u those exercises. Also ultrasound therapy and IFT helps in pain reduction and healing

Your father's knee joint pain could be due degeneration of cartilage ..which is called osteoarthritis ..Get me an x-ray of both knees ..I need to evaluate first ..in the mean time apply warm pack for 10/15 min in each one ..

Need x-ray for full treatment but for now apply Dynaper gel, Put ice pack on the affected area Take rest for some days Do some Quadriceps and Hamstring stretching and strengthening exercises (check from youtube)

Hello dear Please get an Xray of both knees AP and lateral views in standing position. i need to rule out osteoarthritis for him which seems to be the most probable cause here. In the mean time you can give him cold packs over his knees and he needs to be put on quadriceps strengthening exercises. Reagrds Dr Vipin Gupta

Your father's knee joint pain could be due to degeneration or ligament sprain. How long he is having knee pain? Both knees? Was it a gradual onset or sudden onset of pain?

He should give hot water fomentation to the affected site twice a day for 15-20 min. He can use Volini gel or spray provided he is not allergic. He should avoid floor sitting, frequent stair climbing, full squat.

If the pain persists or aggrevates he needs to consult a Physiotherapist or Orthopaedist for further evaluation and treatment.

Hello... As the age progresses knee joint pain is commonly seen in many people. The first main cause of knee pain is joint degeneration. It is mainly due to heavy physical activities

If he do physical activities like running /walking/ jogging early in the mornings ask him to stop for some days. Avoid stair climbing activities.

Use knee cap while walking. Use pain'relieving spray or ointment like volini gel or diclofenac gel. Use hot water bag. Knee isometric exs.

Hello, Take some rest and if swelling persist take icepack for 10 to 15mins thrice a day. Your father can start certain exercise to strengthen muscles around knee joint like quadriceps strengthening ,Hamstring strengthening and active movement exercise like Straight leg rising, Ankle toe moment ,heel slide moment.
