Severe fungal infection
Age: 36 yrs,female, weight:72 kgs..My sister taking treatment for severe tinea corporis..itromed(100 mg) twice a day,lulipex cream twice a day for 15 days & Moisturex body wash. One of the family doctor suggested to use ketiva soap.Can I use ketiva instead of moisturex body wash over the rashes as they are very painful(tinea corporis)

Treatment depends on the severity and diagnosis...Fungus or yeast infection....common around skin folds like thighs and genitals.. avoid sweating, sharing clothes,towels and soap.. specific medicine required depends on the severity.. for detailed prescription do direct online consultation by sending photos.

You can use ketiva soap because its antifungal and helps in management of tinea.

Yes you can use ketiva soap. Tinea is not painful. Pain can be due to secondary infection. You need a course of antibiotics
