Sero negative arthritis
I am undergoing treatment for sero negative arthritis which affects my both ankles causing swelling and joint pains....my doubts are: ..1. does daily consumption of wheat and wheat products like chappathis cause harm and increase inflammation and joint pain? Should I stop or reduce consumption of wheat product?I rear an article online which says that gluten in wheat increases inflammation in  body.. 2. I've been undergoing treatment with Prednisone and Methotrexate for this problem...I've noticed some weight gain and slight hair loss after taking these 2 meds ...what can I do to avoid  these 2 side effects?

1.You can check for IgA tTG. If its positive then you might be sensitive for gluten ( wheat). Otherwise chances are very less that stopping wheat consumption will benefit you. 2. The only thing which will benefit with weight gain is stopping prednisolone. Goal should be to use prednisolone in shortterm till the time methotraxate effect takesover.
