Hello,
I have a self-cut scar on my hand which is almost 10 years old scar.
I visited 3 dermatologists they all suggested laser will not help with a 10-year-old scar. Only 40-50% will be effective but the scar will be still visible.
So all of them suggested me for surgery plastic surgery.
I again visited another 4th dermatologist and even he said (4th doctor) neither the laser nor the surgery will be fully effective.
He said (4th doctor) that we can still do surgery as that will reduce the scar from 8mm to 1-2mm which I can conceal (for my future interviews).
So he assured me that it will reduce puffiness, wrinkles on scars. But the whole scar will not disappear even if I go for surgery.
So please suggest me if should I do it or not.
What is the best option?

The 4th doctor's opinion is most sound
Scars never go in entirety
Surgery or Lasers
They can be reduced
However a final opinion can be given after a proper checkup
