Scleral buckle Removal
Sir, I had a scleral buckle surgery about 3 years ago. My retina is completely attached and vision restored at 100% level but I have gone very myopic in my operated eye which is around - 11 glass prescription. My other eye power is - 6. There is a huge gap between two eyes. I have managed with the power changes as my brain as learnt to adjust such differences but I want to know if removal of buckle could reduce my myopia and whether is there any risk involve and time usually taken for removal surgery???

Hello I would not advise buckle removal as that will increase risk for retinal detachment
