Schizophrenic Behavior from Mother
My mother was always a reclusive and private person and she used to talk to herself for quiet sometime now but recently she has started saying/doing really paranoid things like :
1) Locking all the rooms
2) shes being targeted for kidnapping
We r scared of suggesting psych treatment because she has a violent tendency what should we do?

Is this the first time she s having the symptoms. If so from when it has started. U can convince her to visit a doctor for physical symptoms and take her to a psychiatrist most preferably in some pvt multi speciality hospital or ask someone to do home visit. Keep reassuring her about her fears, don't try to point out the illogicality of her behavior and don't contradict or confront...as this might result in violence ....acknowledge her fears and reassure her ....
