Am I Schizophrenic?
Hi. I feel myself seeing my own physical appearance. I can't understand what's going on around me. I feel like I preoccupied with my own physical appearance, watching my own body in mind and all strangers looking at it but I know they are not. Whenever I talk to strangers I keep thinking weird thoughts like where to focus during conversations or just look into strangers eyes and more strange thoughts. Idk what is happening with me. I keep talking myself in mind, talk to myself that you will die of cardiac arrest, you will become blind, you will get cancer. And all hurting unwanted thoughts, unwanted sexual behavior, self harm.

Sometimes a part of our brain starts thinking excessively and due to that one is not able to focus on others. The increased flow of thoughts may be disturbing and cause anxiety. These are called ruminations.
Next Steps
See a therapist- psychiatrist or Clinical Psychologist ( RCI licenced) and they can teach you Thought Stopping plus relaxation exercises. In case it is troublesome, mild medication can help.

Hi, whatever you have described is definitely not normal. Not necessarily it is schizophrenia. Kindly meet a psychiatrist to find out what exactly you have - OCD, delusional disorder, schizophrenia or something else. Then accordingly start with medicines and therapy- counselling both.
Next Steps
Kindly meet a psychiatrist for evaluation and treatment.
Health Tips
Remember early diagnosis and treatment will give you a healthy today and a better tomorrow. Kindly don't delay. Regards, Dr. Priyadarshani Jain, Andheri East, Mumbai.
