Schizophrenia is a long term disorder, it can be well managed. But unfortunately sometimes even with good medicine, patient may still have symptoms. Better to psychotherapy (counselling) along with medication

Look schizophrenia is a mental illness like diabetes is a physical illness. Sometimes it happens even on medications blood glucose levels are high. Similarly at times schizophrenia worsens on medications. All we have to do is readjust dose of the drugs. Mental illnesses have a strong psychosocial background and may fluctuate as per conditions
