Hi, Solian is an antipsychotic drug that helps cure symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, anger, blank emotions etc in schizophrenics. I can understand that it has been 5 long years and there is a considerable improvement in the client. However, do not stop the drug usage unless suggested by the psychiatrist. As per my understanding, 50mg is the minimal dose in schizophrenics and the mood as you described could be a sign of the drug working on the client. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to stabilize the mood with medicines before tapering it off and some times it requires to be taken all your life. If your doctor has suggested that the drug shall be withdrawn soon then wait for it. Generally, therapies after withdrawing drugs are of once a month where the client discusses routines and shares experience of mainstream life or hassles if any. At the end of the day, its the support system that matters and how comfortable is the client made to feel in his/her environment.
