Scar endometriosis
Im suffering from scar endometriosis post C section. I have a 3.3 year old daughter. For the past 1 year my periods are very painful and pain lasts for almost 10 days .I was given birth control pills. I stopped taking them as its having huge side effects. I used to work out regularly. For the past 1 year I am not working out.Is it because of not working out that the size has increased? Is it possible to have a peaceful life ? Im confused which doctor to approach for surgery for removal of the same, as most of the doctors expertise is more into delivery. If I go for surgery, what will be the period of rest I have to take post surgery ? Will doctor give epidural anasthesia ? For my c section, doctor had given me, and I feel my back has become more vulnerable to pain. Please help, Sindhu

Hi Sindhu, Scar endometriosis is a treatable condition . Working out has no relation to the condition and yes ,the right treatment will assure you a peaceful life. You can consult a gynaecologist for this condition , and after a work up with the necessary investigations : excision of your scar endometriosis can be done ,Depending on the site and size , anaesthesia will be decided. You will not require an epidural.

You can approach good gynaecologist surgeon . Many gynaecologist are more into surgery you will have to find in your area. General anaesthesia can be given. Backache after delivery is due to calcium deficiency rather than anaesthesia. Usually 2 day rest is enough.
