Do you have any other symptoms, like cough , fever or shortness of breath? Saturation usually drops in the case of lung diseases. I would suggest you a chest X-ray and review

Hello Shamili, I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience. I can understand your concern regarding your oxygen saturation levels dropping. Let me help you understand the possible reasons for your saturation drops and provide some recommendations on how to increase your saturation levels. Low hemoglobin levels (anemia) can indeed cause a drop in oxygen saturation levels, as hemoglobin is responsible for carrying oxygen to the tissues. Iron deficiency anemia is a common type of anemia, and taking iron supplements as prescribed by your doctor can help improve your hemoglobin levels over time. However, other factors can also contribute to a drop in oxygen saturation levels, such as: 1. Lung conditions: Any condition that affects the lungs, such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), can cause a decrease in oxygen saturation levels. 2. Cardiac conditions: Certain cardiac conditions, such as heart failure or arrhythmias, can also affect oxygen saturation levels. 3. Anxiety and stress: Emotional stress and anxiety can cause hyperventilation, which can lead to a decrease in oxygen saturation levels. 4. Sleep apnea: Sleep apnea is a condition in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep, leading to a decrease in oxygen saturation levels. To increase your saturation levels at home, I recommend the following: 1. Practice deep breathing exercises: Slow, deep breathing can help increase oxygen saturation levels. You can try inhaling slowly through your nose, holding your breath for a few seconds, and then exhaling slowly through your mouth. 2. Stay hydrated: Dehydration can cause a decrease in oxygen saturation levels. Make sure you drink plenty of water and other fluids. 3. Avoid smoking: Smoking can lead to lung damage and a decrease in oxygen saturation levels. 4. Get enough rest: Lack of sleep can also affect oxygen saturation levels. Make sure you get enough restful sleep at night. If your oxygen saturation levels continue to drop or you experience symptoms such as shortness of breath or chest pain, it's important to seek medical attention immediately. I hope this information helps you, and I wish you good health.
