My mother is a diabetic patient earlier she was given Ryzodeg 20 units 1-0-0 and human actrapid 8units 0-1-1 due to high price of insulin Ryzodeg, isryl 2mg I asked for substitute Dr prescribed to give lantus in same dose.
Is this is a right decision?
Please help me.

You can use mixtard 25 units twice a day & adjust dose by adding or subtracting 2 units at a Time after testing blood sugar daily which will cost 1/ 6 of present expenditure besides only one type of injection

If u can't afford Ryzodeg, lantus is a good choice. Dose needs to be adjusted based on sugar chart.
