Runny stools, stomach pain

Asked for Female, 6 Years

My daughter is having runny stools suddenly 8:30pm onwards. She has passed stool 3times past 2 hours. Complaining of very bad stomach pain And weakness. I gave her econorm sachet and electral water. But pain is still there. Please suggest what syrup or tablet will arrest the loose motion.

Sounds like gastroenteritis probably due to an infective cause. In this case it's better not to take any tablet to stop the loose motions. Keep her hydrated and let her take food as tolerated. Antibiotics may be required only is there is fever or blood in stools.
