Can I take the fecal calproctetin test to ruleout ibd? I have been having unexplained constipation lately since months, no blood but yellow stools, stools are kind of rough textured, sometimes mucus feeling when i wash my anal area after bowel.
Also feeling nauseous occasionally, nausea is not severe but very mild.
Please help. To understand if i can take this test and if this looks like ibd.

Features are not suggestive of IBD.
Fecal calprotectin is mostly used as a prognostic marker of IBD on treatment, to assess response to therapy.

You may have constipation of varied reasons. Need to evaluate.
