My father, he had gotten covid in April, symptoms were since 7-8th April, rtpcr test was done a bit later on 12th April which came out to be positive.
He stayed home, tooks medications hydroxycholoquine, pcm, azithro, ivermectin, cough syrup, vit c, zinc and later dezflazacort 6mg od for 5days.
Currently he's all right, but the situation is such that We need to start visiting hospital frequently for my mothers radiation session, so we wanted to get him vaccinated before hand.
So we repeated a rtpcr on 10th may thinking that it would have turned negative uptill now, but it still shows positive, the labs haven't mentioned a ct value either. Right now he's asymptomatic.Since the Rtpcr test shows even the dead virus, and states it as positive, what should I do?
I need to take immediate action, because we can't delay mom's Radiation session any further. Can he be vaccinated, as it's been approx 6 weeks since he got inflected, as is well now.

Rtpcr may remain positive, Vaccination is not needed immediately since he would gain antibodies due to natural immunity post covid. Also according to new guidelines post covid vaccination is advised after 3 months.

No need of vaccination because he will be having naturally produced antibodies
Positive may be because of dead virus
But if he becomes symptomaric then u have to get CT scan of chest done
1) YOU CAN DO A RAPID ANTIGEN TEST . IT WILL BE NEGATIVE
2) RTPCR TEST MAY REMAIN POSITIVE EVEN UPTO 3MONTHS IN SOME CASES DUE TO VIRAL SHEDDING
3) VACCINATION CAN BE TAKEN AFTER 3MONTHS POST RECOVERY FROM COVID 19
